In New Zealand we have multiple species of Clematis, all of which are endemic. The beautiful Clematis in the photo below is the wonderfully showy Clematis paniculata. Nigel took the photo in Spring 2019 at Dunedin Botanic Garden. Clematis paniculata climb trees and flower at the top so in Spring if we’re driving through areas of native bush, we’ll see patches of white scattered around the canopy - it’s a wonderful plant!
